To prevent that, you need to hook your website up to a channel manager.

So what can you do to provide the same sense of security to your direct bookers?
If you’re a forward-thinking host, you should offer travel insurance to your guests when they book your property.
It’s not uncommon for guests to ask for a full refund on account of a last-minute cancellation. If you don’t provide one, you’ll damage your relationship with that particular guest and they’ll most likely never book with you again. But if you do provide it, you may not be able to book your rental on time. And an empty rental means an empty pocket.
